Demo session:

  1. In order to be considered for teaching positions whether full-time or part-time, you will be required to present a topic before our Faculty panel. The Faculty panel comprises of senior faculty members from various disciplines, located across various campuses and time-zones.

  2. Please choose a topic which is clearly aligned to your area of expertise and to your subjects. Do not take unrelated random topics. Do not take introductory, conceptual, basic topics.

  3. It is good to chose a focused but contemporary topic and present it in-depth. Do not keep your lecture purely theoretical. It would be good to have some theoretical base blended with latest live examples, business cases or contemporary illustrations to bring out valuable insights from your subject area.

  4. Relevance to industry practices and Business focus is very vital in this demo. Please refrain from presenting your research papers, your PhD work, chapter slides from text books etc.

  5. The duration of your live Demo Lecture would be 30 minutes including Q&A. So, please manage your presentation time well.  It is advisable not to exceed 15 slides. Do not load a lot of content on your PPT. Don’t rush. Maintain a moderate pace and voice.

  6. The faculty panel would look at your overall engagement capability and teaching approach. The panel would evaluate your teaching style, approach and overall lecture engagement. In response to our queries during your demo lecture, we appreciate short and crisp answers.

  7. The Demo Lecture is conducted online, usually via Zoom Meetings (www.zoom.us) where you run your own PPT via screen-share function. You will be required to install the Zoom Meetings software on your PC. Keep your PC and software updated.

  8. You are advised to install and check the software (audio/video) well in advance. Ensure that your current location allows unrestricted access to web conferencing tools.

  9. Send your PPT (and any other relevant docs like your latest teaching feedback etc.) to us at least two days prior to your scheduled Demo Lecture.

  10. During your demo lecture, it would be a good idea to keep your email open in the background and your phone handy, so in case of any disconnection or technical issues you can call us or email us immediately.

Please note that each faculty applicant profile that goes through the demo panel / review process passes through various stages for consideration and internal discussions etc. Usually the outcome of the demo process would be conveyed to you in about 4 weeks time, sometime takes even longer. We would appreciate your patience in this regard. Thank you.

All the best!
